IDF Spokesperson's unit released an audio recording of a conversation that took place on February 13 between the Coordinator of government activities in the Territories and the Gaza Strip and the director of Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis in southern Gaza. The conversation was conducted in Arabic.

During the discussion, the Coordinator repeatedly requests the evacuation of civilians from the hospital. "Last month, the IDF asked residents of Khan Younis to evacuate to safer areas, to humanitarian zones in Al-Mawasi and Deir al-Balah. We have evidence proving that the Hamas terrorist group continues military activity from the Nasser Hospital premises, and Israeli hostages were held in the hospital," the Coordinator said.

"We demand to stop immediately all military activity on the hospital grounds. The militants must leave its premises immediately. If Hamas does not cease terrorist activities within 12 hours, the IDF has the right to take action and take measures against the group in accordance with international law," he added.

The Coordinator also ensured that the hospital director understood the warning and reminded him that he could be contacted at any time.

This recording was released after a military operation began on the premises of Nasser Hospital, and several individuals suspected of terrorist activities were detained.
