Interior Minister Moshe Arbel has revoked the Israeli permanent resident status of Majd Rajab Ashur Juabe from the Arab area of Jerusalem, a senior activist of the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas.
In his decision, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized, "Those who sympathize with Hamas and its atrocities have no place among us. Arab citizens of Israel are our full partners, and we will strengthen our coexistence by cutting off those who seek to destroy us from our society."
Last year, Arbel announced his decision to revoke the residence permit of Hamas activist Majd Rajab Ashur Juabe, who resides near Jerusalem, holds a prominent position in Hamas and is active in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria.
"Based on the recommendations of the commission and the professional opinion of security service representatives, this individual has held a high-ranking position in Hamas for 24 years, exerting influence over the organization's activities in Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem, as well as the Shabab al-Aqsa organization in Jerusalem and its surroundings," stated the letter from the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Moshe Arbel highlighted that Majd Rajab Ashur Juabe's leadership role in a terrorist organization poses a threat to Israel's security. "Therefore," writes Arbel, "this individual violates the conditions outlined in Israeli entry laws and breaches Israel's trust. Thus, it is justified to revoke his permanent residence permit in Israel."
