Sa'ar: Recognition of Palestinian State would be like sacrificing Czechoslovakia in 1938

Minister Gideon Sa'ar, leader of the New Hope party and a member of the security cabinet, requested Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to clarify his words regarding Israel's recognition of the Palestinian state. The Prime Minister refuted this information.

"Unilateral recognition of the Palestinian state will hurt Israel's security. Today, attempts are already underway to undermine Israel's right to self-defense, including within international legal institutions. Israel rightly demands freedom of action in the security sphere in Judea and Samaria and in Gaza to combat terrorism, but it is unacceptable in international political practice for one state to conduct operations continuously on the territory of another state. The claims that a Palestinian state will bring us security is the biggest absurdity of all," Sa'ar said.

Sa'ar once again called for an informational campaign in the United States, aiming to show that the establishment of a Palestinian state after October 7 is akin to granting statehood to Al-Qaeda after the September 11 attacks. "Unilateral international recognition of the Palestinian state would be like the sacrificing of Czechoslovakia in 1938," the minister emphasized.

According to Minister Sa'ar, the Palestinian state will become a "Hamas state."
