Soldier voting stations open in Gaza and northern borders as local elections approach

On Tuesday, February 20, 12 "soldier voting centers" opened up in the combat zones where Israeli soldiers, both conscripts and reservists, are stationed.

These centers allow military personnel to cast their votes in municipal elections.

Early voting for military personnel will be carried out to fit the security and operational requirements of various units. This early voting period will span seven days.

In response to operational requirements and the increased number of reservists engaged in combat, the voting law has been amended.

This amendment extends the voting period for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) from February 20 to February 27, which is election day.

This extension aligns with the operational needs of the military.

In total, the IDF plans to set up 925 military voting centers, including 150 mobile ones. This ensures that all conscripts and reservists in combat zones can participate in the voting process.
