The IDF has provided updates on ongoing ground operations in the Gaza Strip. Forces from the 162nd Division are active in Zaytoun, located in the northern part of the region, while the 98th Division continues its efforts in Khan Yunis, situated in the southern area.
In Zaytoun, soldiers from the 401st Brigade, operating in the southern part of Gaza City, have successfully neutralized numerous militants from terrorist organizations. Both ground and air forces were deployed, resulting in a thorough sweep of the area and the discovery of weapons.
The 215th Amud HaEsh Brigade targeted numerous sites in Zaytoun, including weapons storage areas, tunnel entrances, and observation posts.
Meanwhile, soldiers from the Givati Brigade have eliminated numerous militants in Khan Yunis. Troops from the Tzankhanim Brigade are advancing further into Khan Yunis from the west, conducting nighttime operations that include sniper fire to eliminate several militants and dismantle terrorist infrastructure.
Additionally, an air strike by soldiers from the 7th Brigade resulted in the elimination of two armed militants traveling on bicycles.
Special forces, including members of the Egoz unit, have also been deployed to Khan Yunis, where they have successfully eliminated several militants.
