State prosecutors have filed an indictment in the Rishon Lezion District Court against Ahmad Zaidat, 25, and Mahmoud Zaidat, 45, from Bani Naim near Hebron, for their involvement in the Ra'anana attack, which resulted in the tragic death of 79-year-old Edna Bluestein and left ten others injured to varying degrees.
They stand accused of multiple charges, including conspiracy to commit a terrorist attack, illegal possession of bladed weapons with the intent to use them for an attack driven by national hatred, as well as illegal entry into Israel.
Additionally, they face charges of premeditated murder under aggravated circumstances, ten counts of attempted murder, causing serious bodily harm as a result of a terrorist act, and intentionally using a vehicle to harm individuals.
On January 15, at approximately 1:40 PM, a coordinated terrorist attack took place in Ra'anana involving bladed weapons and a vehicle. Tragically, Edna Blustein lost her life, and 17 others sustained injuries: a 34-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were in serious condition, eight people were in moderate condition, and the remainder suffered minor injuries.
