On Sunday, February 25, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant visited the headquarters of the Northern Military District.
He was joined by Major General Ori Gordin, the head of the district, and General Staff Corps Commander Moti Baruch for a meeting to assess the operational situation.
During the visit, Yoav Gallant stated that the IDF plans to escalate combat operations against Hezbollah.
He highlighted the Shia terrorist group's struggle to find replacements for eliminated commanders.
"In the event of a temporary truce in the Gaza Strip, we will intensify hostilities in the north and continue until Hezbollah completely retreats and residents of Israeli border settlements can return to their homes," Galant asserted.
