Family members of Hamas commander exit Gaza, Kan-11 reports
The report from Kan-11 television channel states that the wife and children of Samah Sarraj, who led the Hamas cyber unit, managed to leave the Gaza Strip on February 27.
Their departure to Egypt appears to have occurred without coordination with Israel.
Sarraj's cyber unit, based in Turkey, reported directly to Hamas leader Yahya Sinouar in Gaza.
Sarraj has been a target of the IDF since the start of the conflict. It remains unclear whether he was killed in IDF airstrikes in northern Gaza early in the conflict or if he survived.
During the broadcast, the channel's correspondent Elior Levy presented a list of individuals who crossed the border at the Rafah checkpoint on January 27, including relatives of Samah Sarraj.
