The MAGAV border police apprehended a Palestinian illegal immigrant attempting to cross the separation fence near the village of Al-Muntar in an effort to enter Jerusalem.
Following the necessary warnings as per protocol, including a warning shot fired into the air, the MAGAV officer discharged their weapon, resulting in the suspect being wounded and subsequently pronounced dead by doctors.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is currently underway.
