Jerusalem protest erupts as arrest of right-wing activist is extended
In Jerusalem, dozens of demonstrators are calling for the immediate release of Ariel Danino.
He was slated to be released tomorrow, February 28, after four months of administrative detention. However, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant intervened, preventing his release.
At the entrance to Jerusalem, protesters blocked the road and set fire to car tires.
Earlier, about a hundred people, including Danino’s wife and children, held a protest in Moshav Amikam near the home of Yoav Gallant.
Gallant had signed a decree extending Danino's arrest for another three months.
