Reports from Gaza indicated fighting in the central and southern parts of the strip, with the IDF air force and artillery engaged.
In the central sector, operations persisted north of Nuseirat.
In the southern sector, IDF tanks and artillery targeted areas near Al-Aqsa University in western Khan Yunis, while artillery shelled the outskirts of the village of Sufa, northeast of Rafah.
The Gaza Ministry of Health, affiliated with Hamas, stated that approximately 50 bodies of those killed in IDF attacks in al-Bureij, Nuseirat, and Deir al-Balah were transported to Al-Aqsa Hospital.
As of now, the IDF has not issued a statement regarding the fighting in Gaza on February 29.
There have been no reports of Israeli soldiers killed in Gaza in the past 24 hours as of the morning of February 29.
