Radical activists “violently broke through an IDF checkpoint” and went into Gazan territory, the IDF says. The Israelis were participating in a protest near the Erez Crossing between northern Gaza and Israel.
The activists were protesting against the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza before the release of the Israeli hostages.
The IDF escorted the intruders back to Israeli territory, and they will be handed over to the police for further investigation.
