The Council for the Rights of the Child has published data outlining how the war, which began on October 7, has impacted the well-being of Israeli children.
According to the report, 19,407 Israeli children suffered physical and psychological harm on October 7 and in the aftermath of Operation Iron Swords, which followed. 37% of these children have yet to reach the age of six.
38 children lost their lives during the events of October 7. Among them, three were under the age of three, and four were aged three to six.
Additionally, 20 children were left orphaned, and 96 lost one of their parents.
In the initial three months of the conflict, calls to the hotline for victims of sexual and other violence surged by 28% compared to the same period the previous year.
The report highlights that 26% of educational facilities lack adequate protection from rocket attacks, while 15% have no protection whatsoever.
Particularly concerning is the fact that in the Bedouin sector, 21% of educational institutions lack shelters.
