Negotiations for release of hostages canceled, Israel not sending team to Cairo today
The Israeli delegation will not travel to Cairo as Hamas refused to give information requested by Israel, an Israeli official tells The Times of Israel.
The war cabinet decided to cancel the visit to Cairo.
Gaza-based terror organization refused to address Jerusalem’s demand to receive a list of living hostages and how many Palestinian prisoners Israel must release for every hostage freed.
Representatives of the US and Qatar, as well as a delegation from the Hamas terrorist group, have already arrived in Cairo for negotiations on a new ceasefire and the exchange of Israeli hostages for Palestinian prisoners. Representatives of Israel were also supposed to arrive in the Egyptian capital.
