Sergeant Major Dennis Yekimov, 33, killed in Gaza

Authorized for publication: On March 2, reserve Sergeant Dennis Yekimov, 33 years old from Beersheba, and a fighter of the 17th battalion of the Bislamach brigade, was killed in battle in the south of the Gaza Strip.

Recalling the events of March 1, three Israeli soldiers lost their lives in a battle in the southern region of the Gaza Strip.

Sergeant Dolev Malka, aged 19 from Shlomi, a fighter of the 450th battalion of the Bislamach brigade (squad commander courses), served in the Nahshon battalion of the Kfir infantry brigade, and perished in the same battle in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Sergeant Afik Teri, 19 years old from Rehovot, a fighter of the 450th battalion of the Bislamach brigade, likewise served in the Nahshon battalion of the Kfir infantry brigade and lost his life in the conflict in the south of the Gaza Strip.

Sergeant Inon Yitzhak, aged 20 from Mitzpe Ramon and a fighter of the 450th battalion of the Bislamach brigade, served in the Nahshon battalion of the Kfir infantry brigade and perished in the same battle in the southern region of the Gaza Strip.

In addition to the fatalities on March 1, a platoon commander and four soldiers from the 450th battalion of the Bislamach brigade sustained serious injuries.

Moreover, nine more fighters suffered injuries of varying degrees of severity during the same conflict.

Since October 27 ( the start of the ground operation in Gaza), a total of 246 military personnel have been killed, including incidents near the border with Lebanon, in Judea and Samaria, and as a result of terrorist attacks on Israeli territory.

Since October 7, 586 IDF soldiers have lost their lives in the aftermath of the Black Saturday terrorist attacks and the subsequent War of Iron Swords.
