The leader of the Israel Our Home party, which is in opposition but does not directly influence government decisions, declared during his speech at a meeting of the NDI faction that the war in the Gaza Strip has ended.

Avigdor Lieberman commenced his speech by urging Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana to cancel the parliamentary recess scheduled to begin in a month.

"Considering the state of the kidnapped, developments in the north and south of Gaza, and the budget, I fail to comprehend how we can justify going on vacation," Lieberman asserted. "Let's cancel the recess and get to work; there's much to be done."

He pledged that NDI would present its conscription law to the Knesset for discussion on Wednesday—a law Lieberman described as "very simple" and ensuring complete equality.

Under this proposed legislation, every Israeli, regardless of religion or background, upon turning 18, will be obligated to serve either in the military or in alternative civilian service, with the IDF deciding the assignment.

Lieberman then proceeded to outline the problems within the current government, criticizing the actions and statements of Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and highlighting Benny Gantz's unauthorized visit to the United States.

He stressed that the government's coordinated efforts had ceased, replaced by games of ego and ambition. Lieberman argued that the slogan "Together we will win" has become hollow, asserting that in the current situation, true unity is absent.

"Let's be honest: there is no war at present; it's behind us," Lieberman emphasized.

"We take one step forward and two steps back. We've advanced to Khan Yunis, and ventured south in Gaza, only to retreat to the sector's north, Gaza, and the Palestinian refugee camps in the central Gaza Strip. It's a case of one step forward, two steps back."
