Jonathan Pollard, an American former intelligence analyst who was jailed for 30 years for spying for Israel, admitted in an interview to Radio 103FM that he is seriously considering entering politics.
"After October 7, I understood that something has to change in this state and that I want to be part of that change. I am seriously considering entering politics. I consider politics a mission. I have no personal interest - all I want is the land of Israel and the people of Israel, that's all," he said.
At the same time, he acknowledged being disappointed with current politicians who "lied to him, betrayed him, treated him as if they would have preferred him to die in prison."
In 1995, while imprisoned, Pollard was granted Israeli citizenship. He was released in 2015 and, five years later, moved to Jerusalem with his second wife.
