On Tuesday, March 12, Minister Gideon Sa'ar announced his party's withdrawal from the Mahane Mamlahti bloc.
This announcement took place during the "Tikvah Hadasha – Ha-Yamin Mamlakhti" conference, which summarized the results of the local election campaign.
Gideon Sa'ar stated that he still holds respect for his partners, but noted that the representatives of Mahane Mamlahti in the war cabinet do not align with the positions of himself and the Tikva Hadasha party.
Sa'ar mentioned that his decision to terminate the partnership with the Blue and White party received support from his party's Knesset members.
According to Sa'ar, the party has already submitted a request to the head of the Knesset Commission to separate Tikva Hadasha into its own faction.
Additionally, Gideon Sa'ar reached out to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, requesting inclusion in the "narrow" military cabinet.
Kan Bet radio station reported that sources close to National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir indicated that if Netanyahu complies with Sa'ar’s request, Ben-Gvir will also demand inclusion in the "narrow" cabinet.
