IDF strikes targets in Gaza; Palestine national football team player killed

On the night of March 12, the IDF continued operations in the Gaza Strip.
Only Gazan sources reported on the ground offensive throughout the night.

In the north of the Strip, the Israeli Air Force carried out a series of strikes on targets in the city of Gaza.

In the center of the Strip, the Israeli Air Force conducted a series of strikes on targets in Deir al-Balah, Al-Maghazi, Al Bureij, and Nuseirat. The IDF targeted a home in Dir al-Balah, resulting in at least one fatality and several injuries. Intense gunfire was reported in the Al-Maghazi area.

In the south of the Strip, the IDF Air Force conducted a series of strikes on targets in Al-Qarara and Khan Yunis and in the vicinity of An-Nasser, north of Rafah. IDF artillery targeted positions in Khan Yunis and east of Khan Yunis. Several individuals were wounded in an artillery strike on a house west of Rafah.

The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry reported nine fatalities and more than 20 injuries treated at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City following an IDF strike on a target near the Kuwait Junction. Hamas claims that a crowd awaiting trucks carrying humanitarian aid was fired at.

Sources in Gaza reported that Palestinian footballer Mohammed Barakat died in hospital from injuries sustained during the IDF strike in Khan Yunis on March 11.

As of now, the IDF has not commented on the military operations in Gaza on March 12.
