International mediators involved in negotiations with Hamas have issued a warning to Israel: the ongoing talks in Qatar represent the final attempt to reach an agreement.
If these negotiations fail, there will be no further discussions. The Wall Street Journal reported on this development on Monday, March 18th.
The article was published as an Israeli delegation arrived in Qatar to commence negotiations. Leading the Israeli delegation is Mossad chief David Barnea.
According to The Wall Street Journal, citing an Israeli source, all proposals being discussed in Qatar are being coordinated with Yahya Sinwar, who is believed to be situated in one of the tunnels within the Gaza Strip. Messages exchanged may take between 24 to 36 hours to be relayed.
