Suspect detained in latest Jerusalem swastika case
Police detained a 60-year-old man, a resident of Jerusalem, on suspicion of drawing swastikas on mailboxes and near the entrance to a store on Strauss Street.
The motives for these actions are currently under investigation.
According to a police statement, swastikas were discovered on mailboxes on Strauss and Tavor streets in central Jerusalem on the evening of Saturday, March 16. Surveillance was then organized in the area.
On the morning of March 18, another swastika image appeared next to a store on Strauss Street, leading to the suspect's detention.
It's worth noting that since October 7, instances of swastika depictions in Israeli cities have become more frequent. Several such cases have been reported in Jerusalem in recent months.
