IDF confirms cruise missile fell in open terrain north of Eilat
The IDF has acknowledged a “suspicious aerial target” that came from the direction of the Red Sea and struck an open area near Eilat early Monday morning was a cruise missile.
Yemen’s Houthis claimed responsibility for the attack. It marks the first time a Houthi rocket hit Israeli territory. Previously, missiles and drones launched from Yemen struck neighboring countries or were intercepted by IDF.
No injuries were reported, and no damage was caused. The Air Force tracked the missile throughout the incident.
The IDF is further investigating the incident.
