If Minister Gideon Sa'ar isn't included in the war cabinet, his party will leave the government immediately after the Purim holiday, IDF Galei reports.
According to the radio station, citing sources close to Sa'ar, his decision is clear: he won't stay in the coalition without a seat in the military action cabinet.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu doesn't plan to grant him such a position, notes IDF Galley.
Gideon Sa'ar mentioned in an interview with Kan REKA that his demand is well-known to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“On March 15, I met with the Prime Minister and conveyed our demands. I won't delve into the details of our closed-door conversation. We're awaiting his response,” Sa'ar said.
Knesset member Yitzhak Kreuzer (Otzma Yehudit) stated that his party also plans to demand a seat in the war cabinet.
“Our faction has more deputies than Sa'ar's faction, and it's important to have different perspectives represented in the narrow cabinet,” Kreuzer remarked.
Political circles observe that, at present, Netanyahu has no intention to alter the composition of the narrow military cabinet.
