Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has extended an offer to MP Eli Dalal (Likud) to serve as the Israeli ambassador to Italy, as reported by ITV Channel 14.

Reportedly, the Prime Minister aims to relocate Dalal from the Knesset and the political arena.

Dalal has been known for his frequent criticisms of the government and his independent stance.

For instance, Dalal has pushed for the swift enactment of the conscription law, supported the closure of minor ministries, and even hinted at withholding his vote for the budget over disagreements regarding coalition funds.
