Protests erupt across Jerusalem; clashes reported in Mea Shearim
Mass protests are happening near the Knesset, Netanyahu's home, and Mea Shearim neighborhood. Kan Bet radio reported around 7:00 PM that about 10,000 demonstrators gathered near the Knesset, with more arriving.
In Mea Shearim, Brothers in Arms activists demand residents share the military service burden. Locals threw eggs and bottles at them. Clashes ensued, leading to police detaining one ultra-religious member for resisting arrest.
At the same time, the Police referred to Brothers in Arms activists as "violators of law and order" for unapproved demonstrations.
Social media reports of overcrowded trains to Jerusalem, leaving thousands stranded at stations intending to join protests.
