The commissioner for state property in the Civil Administration of Judea and Samaria announced that 170 dunams in the Herodium National Park, located in the east of Gush Etzion, have been declared state property.
Signs have been installed at the site to indicate this.
Yaron Rosenthal, head of the local council of Gush Etzion, welcomed the decision, calling it "great news." He emphasized the significance of Herodium as one of Israel's most important historical sites, a gem for international tourism.
Rosenthal noted the community's efforts spanning over two decades to develop Herodium into a premier tourist destination and cultural heritage site.
