Sister of Hamas leader Haniyeh arrested in Israel on suspicion of terror offenses

Israeli police and the Shin Bet security service have arrested the sister of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in the southern town of Tel Sheva in the Negev.

The 57-year-old woman is suspected of contact with operatives from the terror group and supporting acts of terror.

According to Israeli intelligence agencies, this woman considered herself an activist of Hamas, supported terrorism and also had contact with Hamas militants.

While searching her home, officers found documents, media, telephones, and other evidence linking her to “serious security offenses.”
