Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has directed the defense department to allocate necessary resources to facilitate aid flow into Gaza and closely coordinate with international organizations and key partners.

During an evening meeting on April 4, the National Security Cabinet approved measures to boost humanitarian aid to Gaza.

This includes temporarily delivering goods through Ashdod Port and, for the first time since the conflict began, through the Erez crossing. They also agreed to increase the number of trucks from Jordan passing through the Kerem Shalom crossing and extend its operating hours, resulting in a total of 500 trucks entering the sector daily. Additionally, ministers Benny Gantz and Yoav Gallant were given authority to address issues related to humanitarian aid supply to Gaza.
