Woman, 19, man in his 50s wounded in shooting attack on the West Bank’s Route 55
On the morning of April 7, a suspected shooting attack took place on the West Bank’s Route 55 between the Palestinian towns of Azzun and Nabi Ilyas. The gunman targeted a bus a cars.
Two Israelis were wounded. A woman, 19, is seriously wounded and a man in his 50s is listed in moderate condition, medics say. Both victims have been taken to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba.
According to the Rescuers Without Borders emergency service, one person was wounded on a bus that came under fire, and a second person was hurt in a car.
Police say the highway has been closed in both directions in the area of the attack.
The terrorists fled the scene, and a search operation is underway.
