The IDF confirmed that the Israeli Air Force eliminated Ali Ahmed Hassin, a senior field commander in Hezbollah's elite Radwan force, in southern Lebanon overnight.
The IDF statement said that Hasin was involved in numerous rocket attacks on northern Israel's Ramim Ridge. This area has come under repeated rocket, missile, and drone attacks amid the war.
He held a rank equivalent to a brigade commander and was responsible for the planning and execution of terror attacks in the Ramim Ridge area against the Israeli home front.
In addition to Hasin, two Hezbollah operatives were also eliminated, according to the IDF.
On the night of April 8th, Lebanese sources reported that the Israeli Air Force struck targets in the southern Lebanon town of as-Sultaniyah, which is 15 km from the Israeli border. Strikes in this area were carried out for the first time since the start of the war.
Hezbollah officially confirmed the death of Ali Ahmed Hassin, also known as Abbas Jafar.
