IDF hits rocket launchers near humanitarian shelters in Gaza
The IDF published videos and images showing that Hamas terrorists used rocket launchers hidden near refugee tents in Khan Yunis to shell Israeli territory.
The video shows how after the Hamas rocket strike, rockets scatter in different directions, potentially causing harm to civilians.
Three rocket launchers in the area were destroyed. Hamas militants used these launch sites for attacks on southern Israel.
"Before the attack, the IDF ensured that civilians were evacuated from the area and precisely targeted the launchers, avoiding harm to those not involved," the IDF said.
"This is another example of Hamas's exploitation of humanitarian compounds and areas for its terrorist activities and its use of the civilian population as a human shield," the IDF stated.
On the evening of April 7, three rockets fired from the Khan Yunis area hit Israeli territory. Shortly after the shelling, the Israeli Air Force attacked the launch site from which the shelling was carried out, as well as other nearby terrorist targets.
