On Monday, April 8, the prosecutor's office informed Shlomo Filber, the former director general of the Ministry of Communications, that his contract granting him state witness status in a case against Benjamin Netanyahu might be revoked. Kan Bet radio station reported the development.
The reason for considering termination of the contract is Filber's repeated violation of its terms. The legal notice sent to him states that prosecutors have compelling evidence of these violations.
Shlomo Filber responded to this development on his X-blog with a single phrase: “I’m ready!”
Israel Hayom reported in October that Shlomo Filber had violated his agreement with the prosecutor's office.
The publication stated that a relevant report had been submitted to the government's legal adviser and the state prosecutor. It claimed that Filbert's testimony to the police, which led to him being granted state witness status, differed from his testimony in court.
