IDF detains nine suspects in Judea and Samaria
On April 9, the IDF, Shin Bet security service, and Border Police detained nine suspects involved in terror activities in Judea and Samaria. Shin Bet investigators will question them.
The operations were conducted in Za'atara, Tulkarm, Hebron, Nablus, and Al-Am'ari. Weapons and ammunition were confiscated.
In Za'atara, a house belonging to the terrorist Kasem Issa Ali Zuhara was marked for subsequent demolition as he participated in the February 22 attack on Route 1 between Ma'ale Adumim and Jerusalem, resulting in the death of Matan Elmaliach, 26, and injuring ten people, including a pregnant woman.
There were no casualties among the Israeli soldiers involved in the operations in Judea and Samaria.
Since the beginning of the war on October 7, 2023, some 3700 terror suspects have been detained in the Palestinian Authority territory, with about 1600 of them linked to the Hamas terror organization.
The IDF also reports that the Israeli settlement of Merav was fired at from the Palestinian village of Jalbun. Two houses were struck with no casualties.
