US tourist arrested for harassing police officer during anti-government protest
A US tourist in his 20s was arrested by police for allegedly making sexualized and offensive remarks toward a police officer during an anti-government protest in Tel Aviv on Saturday evening. He is also accused of disrupting public order during the demonstration and assaulting on-duty police officers.
Additionally, the suspect posted a video on social media showing harassment and insults directed at a police officer.
Following questioning on charges of obstructing police duties, insulting a public servant, participating in an unlawful event, and breaching confidentiality, the suspect was handed over to immigration authorities and awaits deportation.
