Three settlers detained on suspicion of violent attacks in Palestinian village
Clashes occurred between Israeli settlers and local residents in the Palestinian village of Burqa. Paramedics from the Palestine Red Crescent Society reported that three Palestinians sustained gunshot wounds.
Haaretz writes that a source in the IDF confirmed that military personnel were present in the village and used firearms.
According to the head of the local council of Burqa village, the clashes began when village residents attempted to expel a group of settlers. When the scuffle broke out, Israeli military personnel arrived at the scene. However, since both the military and settlers are armed, the head of the local council finds it difficult to determine who exactly fired shots.
According to Haaretz, three settlers involved in the clashes in Burqa have been detained.
