IDF F-15 makes emergency landing after Gaza combat mission, reports Kan
On Thursday, April 11, an IDF F-15 fighter made an emergency landing at the Tel Nof air base due to a technical malfunction after a combat mission to the Gaza Strip, as reported by Kan. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
According to available information, the landing gear failed to extend during landing, causing the suspended weapons to fall to the ground, resulting in the plane landing "on its belly."
An IDF spokesman stated, "During the landing of the fighter at an IDF base in the center of the country, a technical malfunction occurred in the aircraft's landing gear. The crew managed the incident and executed an emergency landing. Although the aircraft sustained damage during the emergency landing, there were no injuries. The incident is currently under investigation."
It's worth noting that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the Tel Nof airbase earlier today.
