Undercover special forces of the border police, aided by the general security service (Shin Bet) and with support from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), conducted an operation in Beitunia, west of Ramallah.
They successfully apprehended an Islamic State terrorist who was plotting an imminent attack.
Service dogs and unmanned aircraft were deployed during the operation.
The wanted terrorist attempted to flee but was captured without incident. Any attempt at armed resistance was swiftly quelled.
The identity of the detainee has not been disclosed, nor has the specific time or location of the planned attack been reported.
