Israel to reprimand ambassadors of some countries that voted for full Palestinian UN membership

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs will summon ambassadors from France, Japan, South Korea, Malta, Slovenia, and Ecuador "for a protest talk."

These countries, members of the UN Security Council, voted last Friday for full Palestinian UN membership.

According to the foreign ministry spokesman, the ambassadors will be informed that their countries' position is a "reward for terror."

Twelve members of the Security Council voted for full Palestinian UN membershipю, while only the UK and Switzerland abstained. In the end, the United States vetoed the decision. At least nine countries of the 15-member body needed to support the measure to force a US veto.
