After more than two days, the IDF has announced the successful completion of a complex and perilous anti-terror operation in Nur Shams. The operation was conducted jointly by the IDF, the MAGAV border police, and Shin Bet officers.
During the operation, 14 terrorists were neutralized, and 15 individuals wanted for terrorist activities were apprehended. Additionally, a significant cache of weapons and ammunition was discovered and seized.
Special forces units including Haruv, Duvdevan, LOTAR, and YASAM were deployed in the operation. In confrontations, they eliminated 14 armed militants.
Nine Israeli military personnel and MAGAV fighters sustained injuries ranging from light to moderate severity during the operation. They have all received medical treatment at hospitals, and their families have been notified.
Furthermore, two explosive device production laboratories were located and destroyed, and dozens of ready-to-detonate explosive devices were rendered safe.
The 15 detained terrorists have been transferred to Shin Bet for interrogation.
