Tourists find Iranian missile near Arad: removal planned by helicopter
Tourists traveling near Arad stumbled upon the remnants of an Iranian missile, one of those fired at Israel on April 14, near Route 31 towards the Dead Sea.
Authorities from the police and the Home Front Command acknowledged awareness of the debris but expressed puzzlement over how and why tourists accessed the area. They stated that the rocket fragment would be removed in a few days using a special helicopter.
Earlier, remnants of an Iranian ballistic missile were discovered near the Dead Sea, shortly after the Iranian strike on Israel. On the night of April 14, Iran launched 185 attack UAVs, 36 cruise missiles, and 110 ballistic missiles at Israel. Sources indicated that the vast majority of launches originated from Iranian territory, with additional launches from Iraq and Yemen.
Israel Defense Forces spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari reported on April 14 that the IDF and allied forces successfully intercepted 99% of the missiles launched by Iran towards Israel overnight. Military experts highlight Israel's complete technological superiority over Iran demonstrated in the interception.
