On the morning of April 26, the IDF confirmed that an Israeli civilian was killed with an anti-tank missile in a Hezbollah attack on the Mount Dov area on the border with Lebanon overnight.
The man is identified as Sharif Suad. He was a resident of the Bedouin town of Sallama near Karmiel. Saud was contracted by the military and had been carrying out “infrastructure activity” for the IDF.
Hezbollah claimed to have registered "accurate hits" and the "killing of Israeli soldiers." However, the IDF statement emphasized that only one civilian casualty was reported.
Hezbollah claimed to have targeted not only the Mount Dov area but also Metula overnight.
Following the attack, the IDF said it struck Hezbollah sites in Chebaa, including a weapons depot and a rocket launcher, and additional sites in Kfarchouba and Ain al-Tineh.
