Thousands rally in Tel Aviv to support families of hostages
Thousands of Israelis gathered for a demonstration in Tel Aviv to show support for the families of hostages. Alongside relatives of those whose loved ones are held by terrorists, they are urging the government to negotiate with Hamas regardless of the cost.
During the demonstration, participants left a large message on the road: "Rafah can wait, they can’t."
A procession of demonstrators marched north along Menachem Begin Street.
According to the Kan news service, clashes erupted between demonstrators and police after fires were lit on the roadway.
In response to the demonstration, the center of Tel Aviv, including Menachem Begin and Kaplan streets, and Yigal Alon, are closed to traffic.
