The identity of the terrorist behind the armed attack on border guards in the Old City of Jerusalem on April 30 has been revealed.
His name is Hasan Saklanan, a 34-year-old tourist from Turkey who entered Israel from Jordan via the Allenby Bridge on April 29.
The investigation is ongoing.
On Tuesday, April 30, an armed attack occurred on Sultan Suleiman Street near the Flower Gate of the Old City of Jerusalem. According to the Magen David Adom (MADA) ambulance service, a man approximately 30 years old was stabbed. Police report that a border police soldier was wounded, and the attacker was shot dead.
MADA reports that the injured man was hospitalized in moderate condition and is conscious.
