Opposition leader and head of the centrist Yesh Atid party Yair Lapid met US Secretary of State Antony Blinken before he departed for the United Arab Emirates. They discussed international efforts to facilitate a hostage deal.
"Netanyahu doesn't have any political excuse not to move to a deal for the release of the hostages. He has a majority in the nation, he has a majority in the Knesset, and if needed, I'll make sure he has a majority in the government. They need to be brought home. Every hour is crucial," Lapid told Blinken, according to his press office.
