Opposition leader Yair Lapid reiterated his proposal to offer a security guarantee to the government for approving a deal to release hostages held by terrorists in Gaza.

"I am once again extending to the government a safety net for any agreement aimed at bringing our sons and daughters home. Yesh Atid will provide the necessary votes to facilitate their return," stated Lapid.

Earlier, Lapid criticized the government for its handling of the situation, emphasizing that if they were truly committed to securing the release of the hostages, they should promptly dispatch a delegation for negotiations. "Instead, they have issued three vague and contradictory statements. This reflects a government of national disgrace," added Lapid.
