Israeli tank drove over wasp nest in Gaza, 12 soldiers evacuated for treatment

An Israeli tank drove over a large wasp nest in the southern Gaza Strip earlier today, leading the insects to sting the soldiers inside. 

As a result of the incident, twelve soldiers were wounded after being stung by the insects. According to the IDF, one of the soldiers is listed in moderate condition, and the other 11 are lightly hurt. They were taken to a hospital in Israel for treatment.

The incident took place during an operation by the Gaza Division’s Southern Brigade in the border area near the community of Nirim.
