IDF confirms destroying Hezbollah's air defenses in Lebanon's Najjarieh

The IDF has confirmed carrying out strikes to destroy the Hezbollah air defense unit in southern Lebanon's Najjarieh, located between Sidon and Tyre, some 50 km from the Israeli border.

According to the IDF statement, the targets included Hezbollah infrastructure, including several compounds used by the terror group's air defense array that posed a threat to Israeli aircraft.

The IDF noted that the infrastructure was situated in a civilian area, endangering the lives of local residents.

Hezbollah announced the death of one member following the strike, named as Hussein Khader Mahdi. Sources said two Syrians were also killed in the strikes.

The IDF did not comment on Lebanese reports that there were Syrian nationals among those killed in the Najjarieh strikes.
