According to the Prime Minister's Office, the meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has begun.
Sullivan is also scheduled to meet later with Israeli President Isaac Herzog, National Security Council head Tzachi Hanegbi, and Strategic Planning Minister Ron Dermer.
Jake Sullivan will reportedly discuss with Israeli politicians the situation in Gaza, Israel's conflicts with Hamas and Hezbollah, and the prospects for Israeli-Saudi relations.
On May 20, Sullivan will meet with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Minister Benny Gantz.
Early Sunday, Sullivan also met with Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss the "semi-final" version of a wide-ranging security agreement between the countries, which might bring Riyadh around to recognizing the State of Israel for the first time.
