Finance Minister, Bezalel Smotrich, commented on the ICC chief prosecutor's statement from early today, stating that the arrest warrants were not directed at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, but at the Jewish people as a whole.
"Jews have not faced such a level of hatred since the days of the Third Reich. But our haters come and go, but the Jewish people remain. The eternity of Israel will not deceive! The warrants will be the last nail driven into the collapse of this antisemitic court," he said.
ICC chief prosecutor Karim Ahmad Khan requested the issuance of arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh, and Hamas's military leader Mohammed Deif.
