Avigdor Lieberman, head of the Israel Our Home party, responded to the ICC's plan to issue arrest warrants for Israeli and Hamas leaders.
"The International Criminal Court is inherently anti-Israeli. Everyone is against us. We made a mistake by engaging with them in the first place. We need to remind coalition members that dealing with this is almost impossible without American support," Lieberman stated during an NDI faction meeting.
He also criticized the government's handling of the situation. "The government is only fighting a war within the cabinet. There's no vision, no plan, just stagnation on the battlefield. This must end, even if it means significant escalation in the south and north. Netanyahu and his government want this situation to last until the next elections," Lieberman added.
The ICC's chief prosecutor, Karim Ahmad Khan, has requested arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyya, and Hamas military leader Mohammed Deif on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
